Resources and Information

Attention all bankruptcy attorneys

Our office is closed due to the COVID-19 restrictions. As a result, the Trustee in addition to tax documents, will now accept debtor ID verification, two valid items of proof, (photo ID, social security card, etc.) via faxed document method only. Our fax number is 706-327-4277.

These documents must be received at least 7 days prior to the scheduled date of the meeting of creditors.

Instructions for transmission:

  1. If the client appears in your office with their two forms of identification, scan the identification to a piece of paper (scan to print) and then fax that printed copy to our fax number.
  2. If the client appears in your office with their two forms of identification, and If you have a scanner that will scan to a .PDF file, just scan them to a .PDF file and then print and fax that to us.
  3. If the client emails the identification to you as a picture attachment (jpeg, png, tiff, etc), print the picture file and fax that to our number listed previously.

Because email is relatively insecure and attachments to emails are more dangerous to our cyber-health, we cannot accept the use of that method for receipt of Personal Identification Information (PII). Please fax this information to us instead, a much safer method for all of us, in this time of extreme circumstance.
